7 Reasons Atlanta Needs Google Fiber

Google recently announced that it is studying the viability of bringing its fiber Internet service to Metro Atlanta. We think this is a fantastic idea.

The graphic highlights several key benefits of the ultra high-speed Internet service, including consumer savings, increased home values, improved access for local schools and libraries and, of course, some of the fastest consumer Internet connection speeds currently available in the United States.

“We want to share our excitement with the Atlanta community,” said Southern Web President Drew Barton, “and to show Google that there is a definite interest in bringing fiber Internet to our city.”

The infographic was a team project involving graphic artist Ron Griffel, content strategist Ryan Watkins and Southern Web’s Director of Internet Marketing Cullie Burris.

  1. Google Fiber in Atlanta would be an excellent idea. However, the current plan would NOT include the very apartment and condo building where most of our students live. This needs to be addressed or people need to stop touting the student benefits of this of opportunity.
