Founder and President
Drew manages the team, leads business development activities and sets the overall vision of the company. A graduate of Emory University, he spent three years working at CNN.com before founding Southern Web in 2004. Drew is an Eagle Scout, an active member of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and a recipient of the International Association of Business Communicators’ Silver Flame Award for an article he wrote about boosting website traffic. On a mission to put his entrepreneurial acumen to good use, he’s currently writing a book for small business owners who are navigating the challenges of website development projects. In his spare time, he enjoys learning Spanish and investing in real estate.
Jeremiah builds custom website themes and applications for Southern Web’s clients. He studied at the University of New Orleans in Louisiana and the Art Institute of Atlanta, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animation and Motion Design. Before coming to Southern Web, he worked for Georgia Public Broadcasting as well as a variety of freelance clients. In his spare time, you’ll find him playing video games, crafting or baking.
Kellye manages Southern Web’s website and app development projects, and serves as the main point of contact for our clients. As a 2012 graduate of the University of Georgia, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in Dance. Kellye has worked in a wide range of fields including national non-profits, government organizations and politics. Prior to joining Southern Web, Kellye was the digital project manager at Nine Labs. Before that, she was the Senior Digital Strategist at GivingPoint, a youth development non-profit. In her spare time, Kellye enjoys volunteering with Orphan Annie Rescue, a local animal rescue, and hanging out with her dogs, Ellie and Aggie. Originally hailing from Philly, Kellye regularly spends her weekends lamenting the Philadelphia Phillies and Georgia Bulldogs.
Digital Marketing Manager
Patrick executes highly engaging paid digital campaigns that improve the visibility and authority of clients seeking to increase their online presence. A graduate of Georgia College and State University, Patrick participated in the Disney College Program and is a certified Google Analytics, Google Adwords and Bing professional. Patrick also runs his own eCommerce business that involves developing partnerships with apparel brands and marketing their products. When he isn’t working his digital marketing magic, he enjoys running races, traveling and hitting up the best Italian restaurants in Atlanta.
Byron builds custom website themes and applications for Southern Web’s clients. A computer science graduate of Middle Georgia State University, he brings many years of WordPress experience from multiple development & marketing agencies, including WebiMax, Appsoft Development and Mopdog. In addition to his mad web development skills, Byron is also a talented guitarist. Most notably, he recorded an album with a progressive metal band that landed them a record deal on a major record label. Byron has since focused his finger-tapping skills to the keyboard in order to produce the most efficient and modern coding solutions for clients. When he’s not hammering out code, he enjoys photography, hiking and reading from an endless stack of books.
Catie oversees content production for Southern Web’s copywriting projects and digital marketing campaigns. She is a 2011 graduate of Georgia State University, where she studied Journalism and Photography. Before joining the Southern Web team, Catie was a photo editor and writer for Mother Nature Network. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, singing karaoke, playing video games, traveling to distant lands and hanging out with her cats.
Digital Marketing Manager
Joel strategizes and coordinates engaging digital marketing campaigns that help Southern Web’s clients rank higher on search engines and reach their target users. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Joel was first introduced to SEO while interning abroad with BornBike Barcelona in Spain. In the years since, he’s racked up multiple digital marketing certifications for Google Analytics, Google AdWords and Yext. Before joining Southern Web, Joel managed and sold his own successful landscaping firm. When he’s not juggling the many digital marketing needs of Southern Web’s clients, you’ll likely find him working on his motorcycles, practicing yoga, rock climbing, or watching football.
Justin builds websites for Southern Web’s clients using WordPress as a foundation. He is a 2015 graduate of Kennesaw State University, where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Information Systems. Prior to joining Southern Web, he spent time on the web development team at WebMD as well as in Kennesaw State University’s marketing department. When he’s not developing websites, you’ll likely find him playing video games, making music with friends or watching Netflix.
Kate manages a wide range of administrative and executive support duties for the Southern Web team. Originally hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, Kate graduated cum laude from Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Before joining Southern Web, she served as the office manager and accountant for ReconCraft. When she’s not at the office, you’ll find her reading, applying to graduate schools or going for hikes when the weather is nice.
Colin Ashfield is a designer for Southern Web. Passionate about building useful and useable interactive products, he practices user-centered design principles. His design and development decisions are based on progressive web principles, user needs, and client goals. As a designer and front-end developer, Colin understands the perfect user interface should look good and work even better.
Eric develops and maintains several of Southern Web’s custom programming projects — most notably our IDX system. A graduate of Georgia Tech University, he boasts a wide range of programming and database systems experience spanning several sectors, including real estate, finance, eCommerce and the military. Currently based in Greenville, South Carolina, Eric enjoys tinkering with smaller programming projects on the side. When he’s not working, you’ll find him honing his home improvement skills on his fixer-upper house or taking off on extended working vacations in his RV for weeks at a time.
